His eyes moved slowly and his hand hovered over my skin, barely grazing me with his fingers as he committed my body to memory. I reached out to touch his chest when two tendrils of cloudy ropes sprang forth, wrapping around my wrists and pinning them above my head. A third slithered up my chest, encircling my neck.
